Hi, I’m Joey – the creator, fixer, and face behind Joey Does Tech.

My journey into electronics repair began in February 2020, sparked by a desire to break free from the traditional 9-to-5 grind. What started as a side hustle quickly became a lifelong passion. Back then, I didn’t even know how to use a screwdriver — but with determination, I dove headfirst into the world of soldering irons, multimeters, and countless tech tools. I’ve shared every win and fail with a growing community of tech and repair enthusiasts.

What began as simply fixing gadgets to resell has grown into a thriving platform to:

✅ Build a community around curiosity, trial-and-error, and honest growth

Whether I’m repairing a device — or unintentionally breaking one — I’m always learning. And I’m glad you’re here for the ride.

🎥 My YouTube Journey

My content creation story goes back to 2007, when I made my first YouTube videos — chopping Willow trees in Runescape near Draynor Manor. Since then, I’ve produced thousands of videos and livestreams across different channels and genres, including:

• FIFA
• League of Legends
• Old School Runescape
• PUBG
• ...and many more

By my own count, I’ve created over 3,000 videos and livestreams to date.

I started livestreaming in 2012, often to just 3–7 viewers for years. It wasn’t glamorous, but I never stopped. When I discovered my love for tech in 2020, everything changed — I was finally able to bring the audience I’d built on YouTube over to Twitch, and things really started to grow.

This hasn’t been an overnight success — it’s the result of years of persistence, starting from my mid-teens, and it's only just getting started.
